Setup Google Custom Search

Here is the complete Google CSE Authentication documentation.

First, make sure you're signed in with your professional Google account (Google always switches):

Once you made sure of that, head over to the API KEY section and click on "Get a Key":

Select a project from the dropdown list.

Or create a new, for example "API Enrichment".

It will generate a new API Key, copy this key:

You can now connect a new account with this API Key.
Note: you will be limited to 100 free searches per day if you do not link billing.

Add a new account

Head over to the Integrations page and click on Google Custom Search:

Click on Connect a New Account:

Give your account a name and paste your API key 🗝

Save your account  💾

Billing

When you're using workflows that are working with a Google Custom Search, make sure you activated the billing and pay attention to the limits applied. Ok Google?

Head over to Google Cloud Platform Billing

Follow the steps to start your free trial (who does not love free credits):

Next verify your mobile phone.

Then select "Create payments profile"

Link your project

Once you're done and everything is validated from the payment side, head over to Account Management.

It should list all the projects that are linked to this billing account.

You should see the project you used to create the API key previously.

So if you selected the project "API Enrichment", you should see it in the list.

If not, make sure to link the project "API Enrichment" to your billing account.

Pricing

Custom Search JSON API provides 100 search queries per day for free.

If you need more, you may sign up for billing in the API Console.

Additional requests cost $5 per 1000 queries, up to 10k queries per day.
